Student Wellbeing
Building Healthy Habits for Life
At Applied Technology Schools, we believe that student well-being is essential to learning, personal growth, and lifelong success. Our Life and Health Program encourages students to make positive lifestyle choices through nutrition education, regular physical activity, and health awareness.
The program begins each academic year with an age-appropriate Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment to identify students who may benefit from additional support. Through our BMI Club, students with a higher BMI take part in structured physical activities, receive practical guidance on healthy eating, and benefit from regular progress monitoring.
With a focus on participation, encouragement, and individual progress, the BMI Club helps students improve their fitness, build confidence, and develop sustainable healthy habits. We also encourage parental involvement to support these habits at home and help every student work towards a healthier future.
