Fazaa program for volunteer work
At ATS, our Volunteer Service Initiative aims to cultivate a culture of volunteering in our students and build an ideal and integrated Emirati personality. Our goal is to instill pride in national identity and Emirati heritage, while also providing students with technical and technological skills that will enable them to keep pace with the latest technologies and scientific methods.
As part of our graduation requirements, all Applied Technology Schools students, both male and female, are required to complete at least 100 hours of volunteer work and community service during their school years. This helps our students become loyal and dedicated to their homeland while also being compassionate members of their community.
FAZAA Program Objectives:
- Develop student’s personality and increase their loyalty to the UAE
- Develop lifelong learning skills
- Prepare young male and female nationals to play a positive and effective role in their community
- Enable male and female students to use their full potential in scheduled programs that develop their sense of responsibility and enhance their social awareness
- Develop work ethics, social values and professional judgment
- Improve the image of our schools as first-rate educational institutions whose graduates take pride in their belonging to the UAE
Students may complete voluntary community service in:
- Non-profit government or public institutions
- National events
- Applied Technology Schools initiatives, activities and events.
FAZAA Program Execution Procedures:
The program applies to all male and female students in our schools
- Students shall spend a minimum of 25 hours of community service a year
- The 30 hours of community service is calculated for students who completed one month of Internship program
- Voluntary work hours are after the academic day or during holidays
- A specific request form is used for claiming inclusion of voluntary service hours. New Fazaa electronic system is used for the program
- No student may be awarded the graduation certificate unless she/has completed the 100 voluntary services hours.
